The assurance of immediate food abundance. First harvest in only 9 to 11 months. A banana clump yields 35 to 55 kg of bananas a year and renews itself endlessly through its suckers.
This name will be engraved on the wooden plaque filmed in your video and shown on your official certificate.
“There is no Muslim who plants a tree or sows a seed from which a human, a bird or an animal eats, except that it is counted for him as charity (Sadaqa).”
— Reported by Al-Bukhari (2320) and Muslim (1553)
The banana plant (Musa acuminata Colla) is botanically a giant perennial herb, not a woody tree. It makes up for the lack of wood with a vitality and growth speed unmatched in the plant world. In only 9 to 11 months after its sucker is planted, it forms a sturdy pseudo-trunk and produces a large bunch of 150 to 250 bananas. Once the bunch is harvested, the stump keeps producing new shoots (“the sons”) that ensure continuous harvests for more than 20 to 30 years.
Mentioned under the Quranic term “Talh Mandoud” (banana trees with fruit stacked in rows).
Record speed: concretely feeds families in under a year.
The stump gives birth to new suckers that take over, generation after generation.
Provides slow carbohydrates and minerals for children before school.
